  When things will stop changing. I don't understand why it always has to be me that's left behind. I left a lot of my friends when i started homeschooling, and it's still a shock coming back to them and finding how much they've changed. I'm pretty sure I haven't. Heck, I have a lion king icon on my layout, for goodness' sake. Changes suck when you're not there to witness them. Y`know? So, am I the only 15 year old girl left in my old ex-group that doesn't have a boyfriend? Why is it a shock to go to your facebook page and find out you read Agatha Christie too? Why do I have to cringe when I see you like love songs? Why can't we just go back to where we were and never change? Just be carefree, playing ice-and-fire. Not talking about clothes, Twilight, and boyfriends. Where have I been? Sorry. I just needed to rant. Celebrated my auntie's 60th birthday yesterday :D It was too fun, except for the shark fin's soup. I wanted to boycott that, haha! Ku Kenneth and Kim Ann Kim put together some amazing slides ! Ee Cat called my mum earlier and they were talking, and suddenly my mum called to me, "Angelyn, Pei says 'clip your nails.'" I was like what the nuts? So I yelled back, "tell her to clip hers!" ... And later, I found out that that was secret code for "bring your Clique books." Sorry Pei :( After the party we got to take back the pink and purple helium balloons back with us. I felt like that old guy in Up , tying five different colours of balloons to my wrist. They lost their float this morning :( There were supposed to be more pictures but someone *cough, cough* didn't post any nice ones. boo hoo, right? Especially when I wrote this for her ... and her, and her, and her, and her. No names shall be mentioned XD Well, it was fun writing a real blog for once. I'll definitely do more of this !! ...That life has uncountable opportunities for you to rely on God.  I've been feeling like Peter a lot lately. That God's giving me the opportunities to test my faith! Which is by the way, an amazing privilege (if you don't homeschool, you won't understand :D)It keeps occurring every time I practice the piano. In fact, I'm pretty grateful that I'm bad at scales and I have a deadline of two months to be note-perfect! I think that by the second week of August I should have a nice, bulky testimony for my cell group :) I've been doing a lot of drawing lately. I should post the pictures up...once I take them :D Anyway, I've been looking around the web and I stumbled on John Rocco's (the illustrator of the Hyperion-Disney Percy Jackson covers) site [ click ] . You should seriously see his pictures! They're so completely cute! My favourite just has to be the cover of his book, Moonpowder. I first discovered Tenth Avenue North ( click ) through a friend of mine, who is an amazing piano player. The first time I heard her ytube piano cover of By Your Side, I was hooked. And not just because it was a song that sounded good. It had essence. I kept humming the song, and one day, I tried it on the piano. ( haven't stopped playing it since :D ) Then my amazing friend updated with another of their songs, Love is Here. She mentioned that she happened to just sit at the piano and it all just came out, because it meant a lot to her. I know exactly what she means. Like the way the guy sings that he really pronounces his words so we can hear what he's singing.

Wow,I'm actually blogging for the second time this week,hehe.I've been reading Secret Believers by Brother Andrew (God's Smuggler.) The tagline was What happens when Muslims turn to Christ? or something like that.It's been really thought-provoking so far.Sometimes I wish I could be bold enough to dies for my faith but I still squirm when I think of the torture. :P Anyway. I'm also reading Mediterranean Women Can Stay Slim,Too by Melissa Kelly and it's really funny XD It's actually about the Mediterranean culture and the food they eat (which happens to be really healthy) and I started getting really hungry:P I have not been able to stop listening to Prince Caspian Flees from the Narnia/Prince Caspian soundtrack.I love it!I love the orchestra!But I mostly love the bass instruments,and how warm and resonant they are:] and especially how they wrote the song,blending in the desperation and the adrenaline rush.It's like, "Yeah I know these bad people are trying to catch me and kill me but I'm having a *meep!* of a good time,baybeh!" XD Oh,I have to go.Kingdom class,blahh. See you~ Hello,hello.I refuse to accept that this blog is dead,muahaha.I sort of changed the layout.I like it better hahas! So,CNY's come and gone (or going,since today's the last day) and it's been a strangely quiet one.We didn't visit alot of houses and such. So what have I been doing? Studying (and loving it,I guess.) Yep. That's what I've been doing. I straightened my hair with the curling iron today and I had to turn it on at full heat for it to have any effect on my hair and I had to straighten each part of my hair more than twice too.Blah. The 5th Percy Jackson book is coming out on the 5th May.So close.Weird. I haven't even been counting down and it's almost here?! Yay! Life is strange like that. But I have a perfectly plausible excuse for doing so this time,thank you very much.Wordpress was nicee :[ But I guess I couldn`t take the fact that I couldn`t change anything in my layout so to make up for that,everything you can see here is purely html.Everything.Yea~ :] I didn`t make this code by myself,unfortunately.I found it on Blogskins.I just tweaked it up abit,changed the colours,put up an icon ( watermelon,ahas! );added a cbox... But when I tried to get the link of the person who did this code; surprise,surprise,reported attack site.So I couldn`t get in :P But as soon as I can,I`ll credit whoever-they-are. I like this new layout.It`s non-cluttered,yet nice ;] Heh.So yeah.I had an interesting day today.*yay* *trying to think of somore stuff I can full this huge space up with* Um.So.I went to church today.heh.I didn`t want to serve at cafe at first but then I ended up really enjoying myself,because Abby was hilarious XD But the one thing I dislike alot about cafe duty is that there`s this old lady that comes up and speaks cantonese to you o.o I managed to understand kai-fan which means chicken rice so I just nodded and said,"Ah.Kai-fan." Lameness betul. In the end she spoke so much cantonese I had to call Aunty Rina for help,sweaaaat. Oh,there`s this new phrase I like to say: what is all thish nonshen? Translation: what is all this nonsense? *rolls on floor laughing* I learned that from an estimable Aunty Okys,I guess that shall be all. Tell me what you think ! |
